A typical day

• 7:00am: Arrive at jobsite, review install plan
• 7:30am: Set up safety equipment, inspect roof
• 8:00am: Mount racking and panels with crew (2–4 people)
• 12:00pm: Lunch break
• 12:30pm: Wire panels, install inverter and disconnect
• 3:30pm: Final inspection, clean up
• 4:00pm: Done

How to get there

1. Week 1: OSHA 10 Safety Certification (online) - $25
2. Week 1: CPR / First Aid (1 day) - $35
3. Weeks 2–7: Solar installer bootcamp (40hrs/week) - Employer-funded programs available
4. Week 8: NABCEP PV Associate exam - $125
5. Week 8: Start work with hiring employer
